Event Description:
The Office of Admissions and the Improving Primary Care for the Rural Community through Medical Education (IMPACT the RACE) Program at The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) collaborated to create "The Exploring Health Care Pathways Outreach Program." The program is designed to inspire Mississippi high school students to pursue careers in health-related professions. High school juniors and seniors will be given the opportunity to participate in engaging, educational activities about various health care programs offered at UMMC. There will be two one-day enrichment events on The University of Mississippi Medical Center's campus. Students from various high schools will spend a day with faculty, staff, and students from programs across UMMC's campus and have the opportunity to learn about admission requirements, educational background for each program, as well as opportunities for funding. This is a free event.
